
In collaboration with the University Mohamed V-Souissi of Rabat, the African Studies Institute (IEA), the University Mohamed V-Agdal of Rabat and the Mohammadia Engineering School (EMI), CODESRIA is organizing its 13th General Assembly under the theme "Africa and the Challenges of the Twenty-first Century" from 5 to 9 December 2011 in Rabat, Morocco.
Most of the working sessions will take place at The Mohammadia Engineering School (EMI) located at the heart of downtown Rabat in the district of Agdal where cafés, restaurants and various other facilities are concentrated. EMI is one of the biggest engineering schools in Morocco covering 8 hectares of land and housing es a wide range of higher education and research, among which are:
45 classrooms
11 amphitheaters
1 computer center
1 conference room with 800 seating capacity on the first floor and an additional 300 seating capacity on the second floor.
However, some activites will be held at other venues. These include the Conference of Deans of Faculties of Social Sciences and Humanities which will be held at the Humanities Faculty of the University Mohamed V-Agdal of Rabat. Also, the Annual Conference of Editors of CODESRIA Journals as well as the NWGs and CRNs Coordinators’ Meeting will be held at the African Studies Institute of the University Mohamed V-Souissi of Rabat.
